Please keep the advice coming and please continue to spread the word! There is so much more to be done!
I have been so humbled by the outpouring of messages, from family and friends to strangers who have served this great country.

Update as of 8/30/17:
We are half way there! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared my post, given me advice and even joined me on runs. Your support means the world to me!
Please try and share this awesome cause so I can reach my fundraising commitment and so that we can help these post 9/11 Veterans get the homes they deserve. $1,303.76 and a lot more miles left to go . . .
This page is proof that I committed to run 26.2 miles in the greatest city in the world. I still haven't quite figured out what has driven me to go after this bucket list goal, but I do know what has inspired me: Team Homes for Our Troops.
On November 05, 2017 I will be a participating in the TCS New York City Marathon! I am training to run to benefit Homes For Our Troops (HFOT). I will be making every mile count as I complete this race!
Freedom is so easily taken for granted. For most of us our daily freedom was earned by the selfless sacrifice of our brave servicemen and women. Unfortunately, many of them are returning home with life-altering injuries including loss of limbs, traumatic brain injury and paralysis. These brave young men and women are now faced with new challenges, especially at home.
Homes For Our Troops' mission is to build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. This is a huge responsibility, but as Americans we know it is our duty to help these heroes rebuild their lives.
Homes For Our Troops has created a unique home design offering 100% barrier-free living for the Veterans and each year they continue to improve the design offering new special adaptations. The homes restore freedom and independence and these Veterans have the opportunity to focus on their recovery and their future. Many of the Veterans have embarked on new careers, completed their college degrees, or started families.
As a privately funded 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Homes For Our Troops must rely on the generosity of individuals like you to complete their mission. Would you please join me in my effort to support them? All you need to do is go to NYC2017.myhfotusa.org/TeamMorgana and donate any amount.
Your donations are put to good use by this top-rated Veterans charity and I will think of you as I complete each mile. Thank you for your support and encouragement as I train, fundraise, and complete this significant personal milestone.
