Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Team HFOT in the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon!
Thank you so much for your support in the past in my fund raising efforts while running to raise money for Homes for Our Troops.
And Yes, I am doing it again. (Perhaps this will be the last time…. Only the Knees and Hips know for sure as I approach 57 years of age.)
I am hoping that you will find it in your hearts to support me, once again, in my efforts to raise money for our disabled veterans.
As opposed to last year, I am getting a VERY EARLY start in fundraising. Since we never know what life will throw at us, I figured I will try to get ahead of the curve instead of behind it.
For the third year in a row, I have committed to raising funds & awareness for Homes For Our Troops, a 501(c)(3) organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives.
One of the greatest gifts we can give to these heroes is a safe and functional place to live. HFOT builds homes that provide freedom and independence for our most severely wounded veterans to live comfortably.
While it SHOULD be the responsibility of our government to do this important work, that sadly is not the case.
One of the greatest gifts we can give to these heroes is a safe and functional place to live. HFOT builds homes that provide freedom & independence for our most severely wounded veterans to live comfortably.
The donations you make to support me will help this important organization. You can be assured that your donation is put to good use because Charity Watch has awarded HFOT an A rating and has included us on its list of Top-Rated Military & Veterans Charities.
This year, I am running with my veteran friend Kris Urbauer who was going to run with me in 2018 but due to a heart attack was unable to do so. I ran in her honor last year and am again this year, and in honor of all our veterans who have fought to keep the United States safe and secure, especially my father, my father-in-law, and my brother-in-law, who continues to fight the cancers that have attacked his body as a result of Agent Orange exposure during the Vietnam War.
I hope you will join me in my efforts to build homes for those veterans who have sacrificed physically and mentally to keep us FREE and SAFE!!!
And you can by donating generously! It goes to a wonderful cause ... helping those who have risked life and limb to keep all United States Citizens Free and Safe!
Together we can make every mile count!
