To build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives.

Homes for Our Troops (HFOT) is a privately funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization building specially adapted, mortgage-free homes nationwide for the most severely injured Veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives.

Since its inception in 2004, nearly 90 cents of every dollar donated to Homes for Our Troops has gone directly to their program services for Veterans. HFOT builds these homes where the Veteran chooses to live, and continues its relationship with the Veterans after home delivery to assist them with rebuilding their lives.

I am bicycling The Great Divide Mountain bike route. I started Wednesday Aug 16th at 2pm in Banff Alberta Canada. Do to the wildfires in Montana I will have to reroute quite a bit off of the normal route. I will be heading south and planning on making it to the border of Mexico roughly 2,700 miles on forest roads, logging roads,
trails and some pavement. Most of the time I will be camping out.
Please join me in my efforts to support this wonderful organization.

I've Conquered The Great Divide Mountain Bike Route! I got to Antelope Wells, New Mexico, the border crossing to Mexico on Sunday at 12:15. I rode my mountain bike 2,795 miles in 37 days for an average of 75 miles a day. With an elevation gain of almost 200,000 feet. Total # of days was 39 I had to take my bike in for repairs on 2 different occasions. The last repair was for a rear wheel with 3 broken spokes. I had to locate a car (Ford Dealership) and had to drive 75 miles to a shop in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I enjoyed my trip and met a lot of really Good people along the way. I have been riding for Homes For Our Troops. If you have already donated thank you!
